1. Reading (15 marks)
- Passage 1 (≈200 words): 10 MCQs + 2 vocabulary items (similar / opposite) — total ≈10 marks.
- Passage 2 (≈200 words): Very short answer type questions — total ≈5 marks.
2. Writing & Grammar (30 marks)
- Formal Email/Letter: 4 marks.
- Short paragraph / speech / debate (80–100 words): 6 marks.
- Story/dialogue based on hints (80–100 words): 4 marks.
- Grammar (Total 10 marks):
- Tenses — 3 marks
- Relative pronouns — 2 marks
- Determiners — 3 marks
- Prepositions — 2 marks
3. Literature (55 marks)
Coverage from Beehive (prose & poetry) and Moments (supplementary reader):
- Comprehension passages from textbook — short & long answer questions.
- Poetry: extract-based, short-answer and interpretive questions.
- Supplementary reader: long and short answer questions plus a few MCQs.
